The Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory has released a report, ‘Solar-to-Grid: Trends in System Impacts, Reliability, and Market Value in the United States,’ assessing the interactions of solar with the power system through 2020. Researchers at the Berkely Lab find that with the continued deployment of solar across the United States, studying solar interaction with the power system is vital to tracking solar projects’ cost and performance. This report estimates the historical contribution to the reliability, trends in market value, and impacts to the bulk power system of deployed solar in the United States.
