SJVN issued a request for selection for the development of a 375 MW/1,500 MWh standalone battery energy storage system (BESS) in Uttar Pradesh under the build-own-operate model. The project has viability gap funding (VGF) support from the central government. The project is part of an initiative to enhance grid reliability and support the growing energy storage needs of the Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation.
