The financing also includes a €13.6 million (~$15.97 million) line of credit loan. The project is located in Valencia, Spain. Banco Santander has fully underwritten the transaction. The project’s construction is complete and is now in the commissioning phase. The project has a 15-year power purchase agreement.
Altus Power, an independent developer, owner, and operator of commercial-scale solar projects, <a href="https://mercomcapital.com/altus-power-acquires-234-mw-solar-and-storage-project-portfolio/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">announced</a> the acquisition of a 234 MW portfolio of solar and storage projects from Greenbacker, a renewable energy investment firm.
Orrön Energy, an independent renewable energy company, has <a href="https://mercomcapital.com/orron-energy-sells-234-mw-solar-projects-in-germany/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">entered</a> into an agreement with Gülermak Renewables Deutschland Holding, a subsidiary of Gülermak Renewables, to sell 234 MW of solar projects in Germany for a total consideration of up to MEUR 14 (~$16 million). The portfolio consists of three solar projects.
PowerBank, an independent renewable energy power producer specializing in distributed solar and battery energy storage system projects, has <a href="https://mercomcapital.com/powerbank-sells-16-87-mw-of-solar-projects/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">announced</a> the sale of its Elmira, Jordan Road 1, and Jordan Road 2 solar projects with a combined capacity of 16.87 MW. Solar Advocate Development acquired the projects for the total consideration of $41 million.
ACME Solar Holdings has <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/acme-solar-secures-%E2%82%B947-2-billion-financing-for-renewable-energy-projects" target="_blank" rel="noopener">secured</a> a debt tie-up of ₹47.2 billion (~$519.2 million) from Indian financial institutions to fund the construction of renewable energy projects and optimize its capital structure by reducing financing costs. Out of the total amount, ₹27.1 billion (~$298.1 million) has been secured from Power Finance Corporation for ACME’s 300 MW firm and dispatchable energy project that combines renewables with four hours of battery energy storage.
CleanCapital, an independent power producer focused on distributed clean energy, including solar and energy storage, <a href="https://mercomcapital.com/cleancapital-secures-185-million-debt-private-placement/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">announced</a> the completion of a $185 million private placement debt. The debt facility will be used to finance a portfolio of 156 distributed generation projects totaling more than 180 MW, spanning solar and energy storage assets across the U.S.
Avantus, a developer of utility-scale solar and solar-plus-storage projects, <a href="https://mercomcapital.com/avantus-secures-300-million-aratina-1-solar-storage-project/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">secured</a> $300 million tax equity financing from Truist Bank to support the development of the Aratina 1 utility-scale solar and storage project in Kern County, California.
BayWa r.e., a renewable energy project developer, along with its Dutch subsidiary GroenLeven, <a href="https://mercomcapital.com/baywa-r-e-sells-46-mw-floating-solar-project/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">announced</a> the completion of the sale of a 46 MW floating solar project in Friesland, the Netherlands. The project’s rights have been transferred to the local energy cooperative Enerzjyk Skûlenboarch, the municipality Tytsjerksteradiel, and the Friesland Clean Energy Fund.
Pivot Energy, a renewable energy provider and independent power producer, <a href="https://mercomcapital.com/pivot-energy-secures-over-225-million-for-community-solar-projects/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">announced</a> three financing agreements totaling $225 million. The three financing agreements include a $170 million upsized existing construction warehouse facility with ATLAS and First Citizens Bank providing the funding to support the development of a new portfolio of approximately 60 community solar projects totaling 225 MW in Illinois, Colorado, Maryland, Virginia, New York, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Michigan, and California.
ib vogt, a solar and energy storage project developer, <a href="https://mercomcapital.com/ib-vogt-sells-95-mw-solar-project-in-spain/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">announced</a> the sale of the 95.18 MW Baobab solar project in Segovia, Spain, to EOS NER Solar España, a subsidiary of EOS NER, an independent power producer wholly owned by EOS Holding.

The first community solar projects in this portfolio are expected to begin commercial operation in the third quarter of 2025.
DESRI, an owner and operator of renewable energy projects in North America, in partnership with Ranger Power, a utility-scale clean power development company, <a href="https://mercomcapital.com/desri-and-ranger-power-secure-financing-for-290-mw-solar-projects/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">announced</a> the financial closure for the construction and development of the 150 MW Heartwood solar project in Hillsdale County and the 140 MW White Tail solar project in Washtenaw County, Michigan. A consortium of lenders comprising Fifth Third Bank, Zions Bancorporation, Bank of America, Commerzbank, and Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank, New York Branch, provided the financing for the construction of the projects.
India-based renewable energy services company BluPine Energy, an Actis-backed renewable energy platform, has <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/bluepine-closes-%E2%82%B93-76-billion-funding-for-100-mw-solar-project-in-gujarat" target="_blank" rel="noopener">achieved</a> financial closure of a debt funding of ₹3.76 billion (~$44 million) from Standard Chartered Bank for its 100 MW under-construction solar power project in Tharad, Banaskantha district, Gujarat. The project is expected to be completed by the first half of 2026.
Innova, a developer of utility-scale renewable energy projects, <a href="https://mercomcapital.com/innova-sells-tolldish-hall-solar-project-uk/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">announced</a> the sale of the 25 MW Tolldish Hall solar project to ISG Renewables, a joint venture platform between Innova and Schroders Greencoat. The solar project is located near Coventry, UK, and secured planning consent in August 2023. The project is expected to be operational in the first quarter of 2026.
SolarBank Corporation, an independent renewable and developer, owner, and operator of distributed and community solar projects, and CIM Group, a real estate and infrastructure owner and developer, have <a href="https://mercomcapital.com/solarbank-secures-100-million-financing-for-97-mw-of-solar-projects/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">entered</a> into a mandate letter providing for up to $100 million in project financing for a portfolio of solar projects totaling 97 MW located across the U.S. The transaction will be structured as a preferred equity investment in a newly formed entity, New HoldCo, which will be a joint venture between CIM and Abundant Solar Power, a wholly owned subsidiary of SolarBank.

Pivot Energy, a solar project developer, has <a href="https://mercomcapital.com/pivot-energy-secures-tax-equity-investment-from-walmart/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">secured</a> tax equity investment from the U.S. retail chain Walmart to develop 19 solar projects across the country. The strategic investment will facilitate the projects’ construction, operation, and maintenance, including 15 community solar projects spread across five states – Illinois, Colorado, Maryland, Delaware, and California. Besides the tax equity investment agreement with Pivot Energy, Walmart is also investing in seven community solar projects developed by Reactivate.
VH Global Sustainable Energy Opportunities, a renewable energy investment firm, has agreed to <a href="https://mercomcapital.com/vh-global-sustainable-energy-acquires-solar-and-storage-projects/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">acquire</a> and develop two solar projects co-located with energy storage systems in New South Wales, Australia, for £16.9 million (~$21.33 million). The investment is part of the Australian solar and energy storage investment program, as announced in August 2021. This investment has elevated the total commitment to the program from the original £50 million (~$63.12 million) to £58.5 million (~$73.85 million).
Aspen Power, a distributed generation platform developer, <a href="https://mercomcapital.com/aspen-power-acquires-solar-projects/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">announced</a> the acquisition of eight ground-mounted solar power projects in Pennsylvania and New York, totaling 41 MW. The projects were acquired from Solar Site Developers, a solar project developer who will also co-develop the project with Aspen Power. The projects are currently in the engineering design stage, with construction expected to begin in the coming months.
Private energy company DTEK Group, via its EU-focused renewable energy subsidiary DRI, <a href="https://mercomcapital.com/dtek-group-acquires-133-mw-energy-storage-project-in-poland/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">signed</a> a final, binding share purchase agreement with Columbus Energy, a Poland-based company engaged in the renewable energy equipment and services industry, and acquired a 133 MW energy storage project in Poland. The agreement represents DTEK’s first substantial infrastructure investment in Poland. Through DRI, DTEK aspires to establish a portfolio of renewable energy projects totaling 5 GW across Europe by 2030.
